Adult Beginners Guitar Lessons
Have you always wanted to take up the guitar but not known where to start? Here
is your opportunity to get to know this versatile instrument in a friendly and supportive
environment.
This is a 10 week course for adults wishing to fulfill a lifelong
dream to learn to play the guitar. Lessons will be targeted towards acoustic and
electric guitar with the focus being on general guitar knowledge and a variety of
popular songs. The lessons will start at 7pm and finish at 9pm with a ten minute
comfort break in between.
The main goal of this course is to have the student, with no prior knowledge of music or the guitar, gain enough skills to begin playing the instrument independently. Additionally, the strong foundation will enable students to continue learning music through the guitar. Topics include reading music, reading tablature,
chords, guitar technique, and ensemble skills.
